Tasmanian mountain bike orienteer Will Palmer Whittington recently completed a huge week representing Australia at the 2026 World Mountain Bike Orienteering Championships in Mora, Sweden.

Wearing the green and gold in the Men's Elite field, Will took on the world's best mountain bike orienteers across the Middle, Long and Sprint disciplines before being given the heavy responsibility of bringing Australia home on the final leg of the Men's Relay.

For a Tasmanian athlete to line up at a World Championships and race Middle, Long, Sprint and Relay against the world's best is an achievement worth celebrating.

Congratulations Will on representing Australia and Tasmania on the international stage - and on bringing the green and gold safely home in the final race (relays) of WMTBOC 2026!
