A Working Group has been established under the auspices of the OT Board to develop a plan for mapping in Tasmania.
The following areas will be considered:
- Determining areas to map or update
- Establishing a priority for mapping program based on the areas
- Developing pathways to increase the number of mappers working in Tasmania
- Suggesting suitable areas for our next major carnival
- Reviewing the Map Correction Policy
- Establishing Map Store protocols
- Reviewing the OCAD licence distribution
The group consists of mappers, Mike Morffew and Jon Sutcliffe, Board members, Klaas Hartmann, Brett Spaulding and Chris Brown as well as Bernard Walker and the Mapping Officer, Greg Hawthorne.
As part of the group's work, they would welcome suggestions of areas for mapping. These can be new areas or a remap of an existing area. If you have a suggestion please send an email to
