Calling for Pre-Loved Orienteering Gear Donations One of the great traditions at our junior camps is the second-hand “Scum Bag” (name origins still a mystery!) – a treasure trove of orienteering and sports gear looking for a second life. It’s always a hit, with juniors swapping and adopting new-to-them kit that might otherwise have been left in a cupboard.
We’re now calling for donations to help restock the bag for this year’s camp at the end of August! If you have any excess orienteering tops, pants, shoes, jackets – or other sports clothing or gear – that could find love in a new home, we’d be delighted to receive them.
How to donate: Arrange collection with Alison by emailing performance@tasorienteering.asn.au
Let’s keep this tradition alive – it’s a fun way to see our juniors kitted out in style while giving gear a sustainable second life! |

Orienteering Australia Survey Season OA is having a Survey Season to hear the valuable views from orienteers across Australia. Your responses will help guide the creation of some important documents and projects.
Volunteering in Orienteering Survey
To prepare for the creation of a National Volunteer Strategy, orienteers can give an insight into the current state of volunteering in orienteering. We would like to hear from members who have volunteered only a few times and all the way through to volunteering on committees or organising carnivals. Please be honest, we want to improve volunteering so members have satisfaction and more people can enjoy the sport! Access the Volunteering in Orienteering survey here: https://forms.gle/e8QZbDcxjEuGd5uS7 Open for TWO WEEKS ONLY.
