Previous Training Camp Summer 2010
St Helens - January 13th to 17th

• A summer training camp will be held in St Helens from 1 pm Wednesday 13th to 1 pm Sunday 17th January.
• The camp is open to all juniors from M/W-14 onwards. Adult orienteers, FROM NOVICE TO EXPERT, are also welcome at this camp.
• The camp will not only focus on orienteering skills but also on improving physical fitness to prepare you for the start of the 2010 season.

Accommodation:

• At St Helens District High School.
• Sleeping arrangements will be floor-space in several classrooms.
• Adults wishing to attend the camp are welcome to use alternative accommodation.

Cost:

• A camp fee of $100 is to be paid cash upon arrival at the school to the Camp Manager.
• The camp fee covers the cost of meals, accommodation and transport during the camp.

Transport:

• Transport to and from the camp is the participants’ own responsibility. 
• During the camp, transport will be provided (minibus). No junior will be allowed to leave the camp under their own means without explicit written approval from their parents and the camp manager.

• Northern juniors can come on the minibus. Please let Paul know if you need a lift or if you will make your own arrangements.

Meals:

• All meals will be provided from Wednesday evening until Sunday lunch.
• However, for the first two evening meals, bring a casserole to share.
• Please make sure you let us know of any special dietary requirements before the camp.
• If you are fussy, bring your own favourite cereal for breakfast!

What to bring:

• Suitable clothing for training exercises.
• Casual clothes, bathroom gear, towel, bathers, hat, sunscreen, rain gear, spare shoes…
• All your own bedding, including a sleeping mat or mattress; sheets & blankets or sleeping bag; pillow.
• Casserole or a suitable dish that can be shared and be heated up.
• Some pocket money.

Confirmation - IMPORTANT:

• JUNIORS, to confirm your attendance, please return the signed (parental) consent, medical information and code of conduct form to the Camp Manager Warren McDonough (23 Rowsphorn Road, Riverside 7250) by January 8th.

• You will not be allowed to attend the camp if you have not returned these forms!
• ADULTS: please let Paul & Warren know if you wish to attend this camp and if you will require accommodation at the school.
