Call for Nominations and Expressions of Interest

Selectors
Nominations for 3 Selectors to make up the 2010 Selection Panel are invited. Nominations may be made by constituent clubs or individual members. Any financial member of OT can be nominated as a selector. Candidate selectors should be familiar with OT’s selection policy which can be found on the OT website. Please send all nominations to the Director Performance, Paul Pacqué, paulpacque@internode.on.net by the end of December. Appointments will be made by the board by January 31st.

NOL Manager and Coach
Nominations for a Manager and a Coach of the Tasmanian Foresters, OT’s National Orienteering League team, for 2010 are invited. Please send all nominations by the end of December to the Director Performance, Paul Pacqué, paulpacque@internode.on.net. Appointments will be made by January 31st.

2010 Junior Fund Raising Coordinator
Expressions of interest are invited from one or more volunteers prepared to take on the role of fund raising coordinator(s) for 2010 to help fund the junior trip to the Australian Championships Carnival in South Australia.

2010 Australian Championships – Tasmanian Junior Tour Management Team
The 2010 Australian Championships Carnival will take place in South Australia from September 25th to October 3rd. Events will be held in the Mount Lofty Ranges and the Barossa Valley, all within 45 mins to 2 hours of the Adelaide CBD. The Schools Teams will be accommodated at Williamstown Caravan Park for the duration of the carnival.  So far only minimal information about this carnival is available on http://www.sa.orienteering.asn.au/AusChamps2010/ .
As usual a “junior tour” will be organised to this carnival. Expressions of interest are invited from any adults wishing to be part of the management team for this tour. Positions needing to be filled are a “Manager”, “Assistant managers” and a “Coach” for the School Team and also a “Manager” and a “Coach” for a possible B-group (reserves & extras). All appointments will be made in accordance with OT’s “Procedures for Appointment of Junior Team Officials and Assistants”. This policy and position descriptions for team managers and coaches are available on the OT website (see http://www.tasorienteering.asn.au/positions.htm) or by request from the OT secretary or the Director Performance. The deadline for expressions of interest is February 14th. Appointments will be made by February 28th.
